Left out of Owls Creek around 0730 went south of sandbridge got one hit on an umbrella. Headed to CH at 0900, nothing. Heard chatter of a good bite at the Highrise headed out there got one hook up on a stretch, lost it. Headed back to CH around 1400 managed to get 2 throw backs (24" and 27") and a 30" blue all on a red/white stretch 25. Headed in around 1530. Kind of disappointing but did'nt get skunked and it was a beautiful day on the water. [B]Merry Christmas to all!

us too, and everyone around us on thursday. we were up the bay MH1, 41A, 42, plantation flats, R1 ... nothing much at all. we could see fish on the sonar, but very little bait. we finally hit some birds around r2, but nothing under them. watching the fleet, no one was doing much.
i pulled the woody too for much needed maintenance on thursday afternoon. i live in tappahannock, so we decided to bring the trailer to june parkers in town, and just run up the rappahannock. it is about a 40 mile run up the river from windmill point. god, it was beautiful. the water was slick calm and the sunset wonderful. the whole ride was on absolute glass. the rappahannock is truely beautiful, and you couldn't tell the difference between the water and the sky. that was a fitting end to our 2006 season in the bay!
later all and merry christmas ... getting syched up for costa rica!
