Just wondering what type of rig you use when fishing with eels and how do you hook them.Where can I find eels up in yorktown.We are headed down new years eve weekend.All help is greatly appreciated.

im sure people will be able to give you some excellent information but to answer your question of where to get them in yorktown, Grafton Fishing Supply on 17 just south of denbigh blvd usually has plenty.

Fish Finder with a number 5 hook does me well and I hook em dead center about an inch and a half from the end of the tail. They swim so nicely and last for very long hours.

I'm with tdp05, I stick them in the tail. Everytime I've hooked them in the head, I end up reeling in a green softball.
