Just curious what reels and line wt you all use for trolling daisy chains, umbrellas, paracutes, and tandems.

I primarily use TLDs 15s (w/20lb) + 25s(w/40lb), and Penns 4/0 (40), 6/0 (80lb) for all of my trolling for spanish, kings, and mahi.

Is this sufficient for a trolling tandems ( 4oz/8oz), daisy chains (say 28oz mojo) etc?

Thanks and hope you all have a wonderful Christmas and New Years.

I'll be fishing around CBBT, CH, and Rudee on 12/27 - 12/30 so give me a shout on 68 "TakeFive" for a report.

With the exception of the TLD 15s, which are a little on the light side except for top water working lures, you are fixed up just fine for pulling the mojos and daisy chains.
Mega Bite
For Striper,Cobia & White Marlin I use Shimano Tld 20`s with Tallus Stand up rods.I add T Bar handles to the reels and load 1 set up with power Pro to use on the Kite or as a second Wire line set up. The GLS 20 reels free spool line off really fast without back lashing thats why they are famous for whites and Kings. The tallus rods are famous for popping the 3rd eye out when hevily used so get the eyes re wrapped after the 1st year.I also have 6 Penn GLS 25 LD`s that are on penn light/medium action rods they are a bit softer and lighter but really fun well balanced set ups.I have fought fish for 4 hours on these rods Finn Fever had a 115 + Cobia on one for 6 hours before it broke off during the Gaffing a few years ago so you know the rods could handle the tough stuff.
