Took a few high school kids out yesterday (they had never caught anything bigger than a blue gill) . Went way north and couldn't find a decent striper , came back mouth of bay around 3 and saw birds and lots of bait . It was relatively calm so we threw big chug bugs and caught as many 20-35 inch fish as we wanted until dark . That was a blast on top water and light tackle . They are now ruined .
Looked like the water warmed up since last week ?? Could that have slowed the bigger fish?
