Nice day at the M & M, calm water and plenty of fish. Caught all the schoolies you wanted 18" - 22". Fished from about 2PM til 5PM, catching over 30 or so decent little fish....
then, right in the midst of these schoolies, bam, a decent size fish....rather suprised when i got a look at this 39" dude.
Hope you all have a great Christmas.

Did the same thing 2 weeks ago at Cape Henry. Interesting to see the scattered large fish among the schoolies. Nice catch!

I caught one between the M&M and Craney Island that was 33inches on Friday. It looked like it had swallowed a water melon. I have caught longer fish in this area but this one had to be the heaviest. This was such a surprise that I did not have the net ready. This was the fattest slot fish that I have ever seen.

Stuck is correct, but I thought I'd add that M&M is short for the Monitor - Merrimac Bridge Tunnel from Suffolk to Newport News on I-664 (although every true Virginian knows that battle was between the USS Monitor and the CSS Virginia) JRB is the James River Bridge, HRBT is the Hampton Roads Bridge-Tunnel, CBBT is the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel from VB (virginia Beach) to CC (Cape Charles), CBB is the Chesapeake Bay Bridge, which goes from Annapolis, MD to the Eastern Shore in the mid-bay region, and BS is what I'm generally considered to be full of.

Hope the list of acronyms helps.

Why do we call it the merrimac??? I know it was the name of the originial ship that was converted to the CSS Virginia, but why did we revert back in naming the bridge?
