Better late than never!! Brett (Knot to Fast), Jacob (Brett's Son) and I set out from Owl's Creek at around 0600. We didn't have much intel so we decided to head towards the 3 Mile line of Cape Henry and the Ramada. Planning to troll in from there. Lines in the water around 0615 trolling a 4 line spread consisting of a Black/grey stretch 30, bunker colored Umbrella Rig, a 24oz Mojo with an Atomic trailer, and last but certainly not least a Ghetto Fabulous "Knot to Fast" special Stretch 25 hand painted by Brett. Lines in the water for about 20 minutes when Bam the Ghetto Fabulous special gets taken. Brett grabs the rod and reals it in expecting a Blue when low and behold we find a beautiful 40" Striper at the end of the lure slumming it after a Ghetto breakfast. After we land this Beaut in the boat we are set for an epic day of fishing which just didn't come. The only other fish we landed was a dink at around 18". We trolled around trying to find another keeper until about 1630 then called it quits and headed in. Either way it was a great day having Brett and his boy aboard my boat "M's Pride". Here is a picture of the fish which is taller than my daughter. Brett next time I will have to remember to have my camera on the boat

Could not have told the story any better (great job Mark). It was a great day aboard the goodship M's Pride. Sorry to say that there will be no pics of the secret lure. After it's maiden voyage, she is being retired and destroyed. Just kidding...it is being re-painted. The reaon the lure was considered "ghetto fabulous" is because I seriously botched the paint-job but wanted to try out the colors anyways. The colors will stay the same without having the globs, cracks, and runs in the paint.
