Headed outta owl creek today. First stop was Ramada, got one about 23" so we moved to Cape Henry. We were there for a couple of hours and only one 20" the whole time. We then headed to Smith Island to see if we can get a bite there. The only thing good I can say is that at least it wasn't crowded out there! What is going on with the bite these past few days? We tried all sorts of different streches and mojos and some others and still no luck. Anyways thanks for the ride Mark.

It was great having you out with me today... We'll catch'em next time. SLOW DAY that is all I can say. We need a few really cold days to get the big fish moving and hungry.

Had about the same report today. Fished with Tim (tcroak), his brother Denny, his friend Ryan, and of course the Boy. After a late start, we got lines in west of CH about 1030. Managed to limit by 330 with mostly 19-20" with a few in the 24-25" range. Not a banner day but we stuck to the bay and caught fish. Temps were still high 52-54 and the bite was turning on in close to the beach at Ft Story when we left (really thick birds). Close enough to shore for casters if anyone is interested. Hot color for us today was Chart. Caught most on Chart umbrella with a few on Chart Tomic, and my lucky Ghetto Green Stretch 25

. Thanks Tim for the excellent day on the water.

I'll get this striper thing figured out soon... or die trying. Good to hear you guys limited out. I am looking for the big fish now. I'd really like to register my first citation this striper season.

I was out on Saturday off of Cape Henry. From 0630 to 1400, had one throwback at around 24 inches or so and that was it. Got bit off within the first hour I'm assumming by a blue. We were marking a lot of pods of bait and a lot of fish in a few of them, just weren't biting.

Slow day for us as well (12-28). We hit Cape Henry, the High Rise, and Plantation Light. Only caught 4 fish from 22" - 25". We also managed a 22" flounder on a Stretch 25. First time for that - he must have been hungry. I can't imagine the fish had much of an opportunity to school up with all the boats out there. Great day on the water though.
