Is there anyone local that refinishes fighting chairs? I have a Pompano chair that needs to be done. I have taken it all apart and stripped the majority of it, but the finish isn't coming out like I want. Thanks for any help.

If it were me, I'd ship it to Release Marine and make a deal with them to fix it right. Those guys are pros.

But not cheap. If your hardware needs replating also it's about 3 grand or more. It will look like anew chair.

Sikkens Cetol is absolutley awesome. I put a satin finish on my Albe and it looks great. I love the stuff. You can do your boat excluding the swim platform with 1 quart for 3 coats. It will not chip like the varnish with the clear top and you dont have to complely strip it to touch up. Mine still looks new after 2 summers of outside storage.

I strongly recomend it in the satin finish, however i did not like the way the high gloss looked.

Are you just looking to restore the finish? You didn't mention whether it is teak or fiberglass which would require paint. I built my chairs with Rybovitch parts. I have to refinish and rewrap the upholstery from time to time . There is really nothing to doing this. Call me, David Wright @ 757-286-3842.

Can the sikkens cetol be applied to teak that has a sealer coat on it now?
