Has anyone torn themselves away from the stripers to head out to the wrecks lately? Thinking of a possible Friday or Saturday trip and was wondering what to expect out there this time of year?

Thoughts or advise welcome!

Cheers and Happy New Year!

I think you can certainly expect some big, mean, waves and I hope you like solitude. On the fishing front -possibly some tog and seabass, but I would think very slim pickings.

Guess, we will just have to stick our nose out there and take a look. Based on the weather we have had so far this winter dont think anything is for certain!

Load the boat for bear and be prepared!

Thanks for the feedback.

The head boats out of Rudee Inlet have been slaying the big sea bass on their wreck trips. Check out the Virginia Beach Fishing Center reports. Tight lines.

Dont think I will be looking for that bear out there tomorrow, 25-30kt winds.......sounds like i would be spending more time in the car driving than on the water.... angry.gif angry.gif
