http://content.hamptonroads.com/story.cfm?...17467&ran=73829Out of the 4 options, I would vote for the 19" min, 6 fish bag limit.

19" limit would be OK for me as well - I only catch bigguns anyways!

The 16.5" minimum was silly anyway. These fish are to small. They should have left it at 18" the past three years. I think 19" no closure is the eay to go. One way to look at it is we suffer now but 5 years from now there should be a nice stock.

I agree. I have been throwing anything under 17-18" back anyway, the filets are tiny. The only thing is that I think it will hurt the shore/pier fisherman.

I'm with you guys, keep it big...Would like to see NC tighten up their regs a little as well... Not sure what's going on with the commercial harvest regs this year, hopefully they'll tighten up accordingly.

19" Minimum with no closure gets my vote. Even if they decrease the bag limit...no closure is the best plan. A bag limit of as little as 2 or three per person is palatable if there is no closure.

I prefer whole small flounder pan fried in a cast iron skillet. So do a lot of old timers. No better way to eat 'em. Guess I'm going to have to find a bigger pan??

My vote:
18 1/2" minmum / 5 fish per day / with closures on (1/1 to 3/31) and (7/23 to 7/29)

I only caught one flounder last year.
I heard it was a great year, just never got into it.
