Trolled south of Rudee today with 3 buddies and picked at a nice limit of rock with one weight citation at 42lbs. Lost another that would have been close. Back at Big Sam's for clam chowder and a cold one for lunch: nice way to spend a Thursday. Wayne

Nice work. If you don't mind me asking, how far south. I would like to get out once this weekend but don't want to run all the way to the state line if I can keep from it.

Jason, just south of Sandbridge. Still plenty of fish north; they might be straight out of Rudee this weekend.

Matt,
No need to bring your gps to find fish. Use that thing for safety this time of year. I'd put in at Rudee inlet, make sure it's blowing light with some west in it; don't venture out in an east wind in a 18ft boat. Run north or south and look for birds and boats; in that size boat, there's safety in numbers. Give other boater's some room, there's plenty of fish. I've stuck citations the last 3 trips. This cold front might push them south and off-shore a bit. BE CAREFUL!
