Was gonna take the bro-in-law and cousin out on Monday. Can we expect fish to still be in the area? When will the bite stop? Also calling for N 10-15 changing to NE 15-20 on Monday. Will that affect the fishing?... The NE winds I mean? I seek the wisdom of the gods....

It's too hard to say what the winds will be on Monday. Plan on going and cancel the night before if its sketchy. Head south and keep your eyes peeled. Be safe and good luck!

This time of year, east and or north winds generally push the bait and therefore fish greater than 3 miles off the beach and south...the bait generally goes towards the warmer water. This makes it hard to catch them inside 3 miles and close to home. Usually west and or south winds will push the bait and or fish in close to the beach (with warmer water being shallower).
Strong N or NE on monday, you might as well stay home, but the wind reports are too hard to predict as someone mentioned earlier, so I suggest playing it by ear.
The charter fleet had a hard time catching fish anywhere today north of the 4A to the State line, although fishing was good and close to Rudee inlet this past saturday.
I am going to go over the next several days to scout it out, but do not plan on going east or far south.
Good luck if you do go!

Stopped by the oceanfront this morning, good amount of boats working off 20th to-15th street about 1-2 miles off. HUGE clouds of birds. Looked very fishy from far away.

There will be fish in the area and I have caught plenty on northeast if you can take the beating. My fishing log indicates I got 4 on Feb 25, 2006 @ 1430 off the Ramada in 30 feet, water temp 42. There are fish, but they are thinning. You may want to look a little south of Rudee.Watch the reports.

West winds can actually cool down the water with upwelling .NE usually makes the fishing better I think If it blows hard it scatters the fish for a few days .I think we will be catching Striper for a good while longer. The Water up near Deleware is still 45 Deg. The HAWGS are still on their way ,I think were going to see some Nice fish coming down in the next couple of weeks.
