Hello, I'm new to posting but have been a "professional reader of posts" for some while. Well I need your input!
I only have Sunday afternoon available. The winds are forecast to lay down Sunday afternoon. Forecast states: sun...n winds 10 to 15 kt...becoming ne 5 to 10 kt in the afternoon, seas 4 to 5 ft...subsiding to 2 to 3 ft in the afternoon.
Do you guys think its worth an afternoon run ot of OC? I read tmbeck's post from yesterday where they departed at 1:30 pm and was at limit within an hour.
Oh, were in an 18' C Hawk. Thoughts?

Check the weather again Sat night and then again right before you leave.
Planning to get out Sun. Heading out of Hampton, will start at Cape Henry and work south until we find 'em (at least that's the plan). Give us a shout on 68 or cell 207-2248. (boat name is pura vida).

Looking like a little bit of a late start, but hope to leave Hampton around 10 ish, so getting to CH around 10:45 or so depending on conditions. How bout you? I really need to get the smell of skunk off my boat after the last trip. Did you get the Donna Sea fixed up--if not, you're welcome to come with us, I think it's gonna be me, my brother and two cousins.

Thanks for the offer - but she's fixed. Just got her out of the shop and taking her out tomorrow to see how she runs. I'm getting a late start also - launching at 11:00. I'll give you a call.

We are going to take our time and leave out of Bubba's marina around 10:30am, see if any life is going on around Cape Henry, if not we are just going to keep on steaming up to the Ramada, put out the spread there and see what happens.
