Left OC At 6:45 had a co-worker and his son on board. Came out of the inlet and the sea's were 6-7ft stacked up on top of each other. Tried to make a go of it, waves crashing over the bow and ice forming everywhere on the boat. Made the call to turn around after about a mile out. Most everyone else had the same idea. The striper will be there another day. So much for the marine forcast of 1-2ft. That was some nasty slop ! sorry i didn't have a better report. I wonder how Bob did coming out of that crap.

Based on what we did yesterday, unless you made a run to Corolla you probably didn't miss much. It was fairly sloppy yesterday, more N than NW that was forecasted.

Good job Bob, changed out a water seperator and a bilge switch today, boats back into Little Creek in the afternoon did real well. Limits, 36-42" fish off Cape Henry. They did some catch & release after they ran out of live 36" fish to exchange for bigger ones. Always where and when we ain't!
Tight lines.

Bring Em In was out at Cape Henry today, left at 10:30am out of Bubba's and was greeted by a nice swell making the turn out of the inlet. Took a slow ride out to the fleet and missed a good bite. Marked bait here and there, noon rolled around and we were greeted by a whale as it came up right beside the boat, I could have stuck my hand out and touched it if I wanted too, it was that close. Then suddenly, it snagged all of my lines, so if anybody snags a whale, that has 2 mojo's, 2 parachutes and a daisy chain, those are mine. Other than losing my home made rigs and store bought rigs, we are off to try it again. Heard of a bite 2 miles out at Cape Henry as we were heading in for the day, it was sad listening to radio chatter of fish being caught as we were headied back in. We released one 25inch throwback for the day. It was a beautiful day, but today was not our day to catch fish. All I know is, the fish better be prepared next time we are out!!! Tight lines,
-Chris

Started out of Rudee early as well but turned back to the dock...way to snotty. Told the charter we would wait a couple hours and all hit breakfast at Sam's. Loaded back up at 10:30 and the sea laid down nice. Whacked a limit of 12 and released many more at CH just west of CB buoys right on 3 mile line. No hogs but nice 34-40" fat fish. Fish were spittin up 8-12" specks all over the deck....dark colors were there preference. Got another full day tomorrow...hope the west keeps em around close. Should be a real pretty day if nothin else.

Brown stretch 30s, and dark (speckled trout) 9" Tsunami swim baits were hot. Most our fish came within an hour time frame at the change to outgoing around 3PM.

A whole mess of people were fishing beyond the 3 mile line chasing birds in the morning and early afternoon. When we headed back in, they were on the wrong side of the bay line chasing birds. I guess the lure of big fish is too tempting...
We had our opportunities. We had some missed knockdowns, missed a few jigging, typical stuff. Ended with with 3 fat ones in the mid to upper 30s (inches).
