Where in the bay and what are some tips for catching baitfish. Pinfish, cigar minnows, pilchards, menhaden. Anything of that nature. Baitwell type stuff. Let me know if you have some ideas. I already know the basics, creep up to a dock or piling or beach, locate a school, throw a cast net or sabiki rig. But where are the best places to look, at what times? I also heard chumming for them with cat food cans was good too. I bought cat food, and I am ready. Tips anyone? blush.gif

Back up in the inlets(Lynnhaven, etc) around the grasses or and structure. Best is to crusie around until you see them. Look for cranes or herons around the edges...they are there for a reason. Cast net should score you bunker, mullet, You can catch croaker and small spot drifting with cut bait.
