I read the salt water forums all the time, but I don't get to fish maybe 1 or 2 times a year. I live in Roanoke and am planning a trip to va. beach the week of May 13. Was wondering what I might catch at that time of year. My son and I like bottom fishing for croker but troll some also. Any info on where and how would be a big help. Thanks in advance Steve
The Spring striper season will be open in the bay. Part of that week will be Trophy season, 32inches or larger and 1 per person. Then on the 16th, its back to 2 fish between 18-28 inches and one can be over 32 inches. Flounder should be around also. Depending on how warm the weather's been, you may see some cobia moving into the bay.
