Any size to them hoos?

Not based on our experience. While we were rigging Thurday night a boat came in from the 230 rocks. They had 1 75 AJ and a 7lb sea bass and had not seen a tuna. We were in touch with boats north all day long on Friday and although there were a few yft caught, they were few and far between. The bite(such that it was) was south as was reported here. The boat in the slip next to us at Teach's, fished the 450 line Friday, they had 4 yft all day long and two of them were footballs.

Gradyman it was me with the big amberjack it actually weighed 68 pounds and what a sea bass i couldnt beleive it when it came to the surface, you are right all of our tuna bites were south on Friday, buy the way beautiful boat i was in the white and blue 29 Regulator
[/quote]Sorry, my mistake I thought you said 75 --no matter - it was a "big un" anyway.
Good job Friday -I wish we had gone south with you --we got some bites but not like you describe. Did you run any spreader bars? We put a bunch of bars in the spread early, trying to raise up the tuna - which I had good luck with last year - but we didn't do anything with them Friday. In fact I think they hurt us. Once we changed them out we began to get wahoo hits. Wondering if you had any similar experience.

Kent i did not run any spreader bars but i do know of one boat which had multiple hook ups on a natural cedar plug chain on the flat line in the wash i ran all single blue and white or my other favorite color white and blue islander trackers some with flash and some without if i would have had a couple of the guys from this board who are experienced we would of had a stellar day i was plagued by inexperience but we did have a ball.
