After spreading mulch all day yesterday, and looking at the weather report this morning, I decided the mulch and grass mowing could wait..... Headed out to the Back River Reef with beautiful weather, calm seas, marking fish....but not much biting.... Had one flounder hit all afternoon..... Well you can't catch them every day. Thought about running over to the Hump or the CBBT, but after listening for a while on the radio with minimal catching going on, decided to drift around where i was and enjoy the Sierra Nevada Pale Ale and dill pickles that Farm Fresh so kindly put on sale for me this morning.......

pickles and beer ... hmm sounds good to me. beautiful day for sure though. we went down to the bay today and visted mom and dad. sure made me want to get the boat in the water!

Thanks for the report John! I dont think much was going on today at ALL!!! Went down to rudee this morning, fished the rocks and caught a few blues, shad, and my dad lost a beautiful speckled trout...That was all until about 12:00pm, after that nothing hit what so ever! It was just relaxing watching the boats go by, listening to the waves, smelling the fresh salt air, and coming home with the sweetest racoon eyes from the blistering sun! At least you gave it your all bud! Went to Lynhaven and talked to a bunch of guys and they said the same thing, ''nothing biting''. By the middle of this week, things should start to pick up. Thanks again John, not many fish is better than doing that yard work anyday

I took my out of town guest for a little ride out to CBBT for togging.

We had one Bite all day. It was a relaxing day on the water, everyone had a good time.
