Caught 2 red drum and 3 black drum while fishing this morning. We were off the shoals and using peeler and clams. The red's were 48" and 52" each. Great day on water.
What shoals were you fishing would like to catch some reds.

I'm sure it was the 9 foot shoals at the High Rise.There are 2 sets of them and I've caught them there before.
glad you had some luck! we tried on saturday on the 9' and ship hoal inlet with nothing but doggies. used crabs and sea clams. but it was not a full effort due to the cool foggy weather. should have done that sunday!

Not any better Sun. I fished last night. Lots of sharks. Had one smoking run on a whole crab that I'm sure was a red... heavy fish...but the hook popped after 10 seconds.
