Is anyone catching Rockfish or Croakers in the Potomac below Rt 301 area to Point lookout? I hear of a few Rocks being caught but nothing of any size to speak of. Let me know.

i caught one north of the 301.
woodbridge area
leesylvania state park.

it was around 34' and around 20 +or- pounds
unfortunately cant keep them at that area

I am a little south from you (Aquia Creek). I have heard of a few people catching Rocks below RT301. Trophy season below RT301 goes on untill May 15th. VA. trophy season starts today May1 -15th so now that mirrors Maryland Regs. But the way it sounds like hit or miss for now on the fishing action around here. And I am waiting on the Croakers to arrive? I might be able to go out this weekend and see for myself. Congradulations on the 34" Rock.
