Went down to the boat saturday afternoon to clean her up for the season and get my gear ready, but the weather was so perfect I decided to go for a quick jaunt to the first island to knock some of the dust off with some saltwater! I only fished for a little less than an hour and had no luck; however, my buddy in another boat caught and released a few resident rockfish on a rattletrap on the NW corner. I don't care that I didn't catch anything because the weather was so nice and the boat ran like a champ.
Speaking of which, I run my boat out of the boatel at Taylor's Landing, and I needed some preseason work done such as oil change, fix a nav light, check the fuel system, etc. So I called the marina and they recommended Dolphin Marine which is right on the premises. I called them late this morning to set up the work; I just got a call saying the work is done!!!! I'm so deep in shock I don't know what else to say. I'll be down this coming weekend and I'll post again after I check out the work.
