I'm thinking about going fishing this evening for reds. Last time I went it was on an incoming tide, and we did pretty well. Just wondering if they'll also hit on an outgoing tide, or if we should just fish for something else?
What do you guys think?
Thanks for any advice.

I'm heading out myself, it will be my first try reds. I'll be somewhere around the middle grounds. Give HOOKS DOWN a shout on 68 if you get into them.

The water was like glass this morning as I came across the MMBT.
Good luck guys.

2 hours either side of tide the optimion time for reds althought some time you can catch them anytime if they are in there. Good luck

I'm no expert but either tide will work. Some like outgoing the best. I think the key is just having a running tide but as Capt. Pete said - if they're there - they're there even in slack tide. Good fishin'

We are heading out in a few for the blacks. Giving the reds a rest for tonight. Go get em boys. They are there. The bite tonight should turn on before and after the slack around 10. Last night the slack produced nothing at all. Not even critters. I am a firm believer in the tide. Next week the tide will be alot better for the reds
Good luck
