I will probably be out looking for some black drum sometime during the week - probably Thursday.

We are going tonight for reds. Then i think that the next couple trips will be for the blacks. The best red fishing is yet to come. Next full moon it will be on!!!

Casey,
I just noticed that you have a 22' Panga. How is the ride in that? I've always admired the looks and wondered about the performance. What do you push it with? Sorry for the jacked thread...

I will be out there Thur and Fri night. And I agree, the best is yet to come.

we are getting off graveyards thursday morning and will probably be heading to ES after a few hours of sleep. if i can sleep. if thats the case we will start earlier. This will be our first trip ever for the big reds yall are talking about. You all are giving what seems to be excellent advise and we have been taking good notes. we are used to catching big catfish in the james, largest 72#'s. So we figure that those big rigs should handle these fish. We are putting in at kipoteke, figure the price of gas and a possibility of a rough ride it would be worth the toll. Well we may get skunked but to read the posts it sounds like it would be a blast. we plan on being on the water by 4pm at the latest and fishing all night. well wish us luck well be the red and white 21ft proline that will probably look like we are lost but you know what they say about a blind squirel.

I will be drumming up in the Oswego River in central NY this holiday weekend (for freshwater drum, aka Sheepshead) and will be back the following Tues.

I am hoping to get the boat out for 2007 on Jun 1 to do some real drum fishing.

Anybody going out tonight looking for someone to help with gas/bait costs? If so, give me a call on my cell (858)583-0837 or PM me. Thanks.

-Justin

P.S. BIGG09 are you the same Casey that took me out on your Panga last summer trying for Kings?
Split Shot - Mike
