Has anybody seen Spades at the CLT?

Father in law is coming in to town this weekend and I would love to get him into a mess of them.

Haven't heard of anything. Was out around the CLT last Sunday and the water was still around 56-58 degrees

I heard that they are there, but the bite was a little slow. I'm goin g to give it a try tomorrow before the rush and hope for the best. I would think with the great weather we are having right now, that the water temp will be going up. The bay temp this past sunday was 61 degrees on my fishfinder!

saw a guy cleaning a nice catch of them yesterday. he was free diving at the tower. he said they were not swarming yet but there was a fair number available. the water is still a little cold. might be hard to get them to bite. the ones he was cuttung looked pretty nice.

I saw a few dozen at the 4th yesterday.

Still a bit cold - buddy was there yesterday and couldn't get a bite.
