Looking to go Flounder fishing Saturday
Has anybody been doing any Flounder fishing?
There has been very little chatting on the site. I know the water has been very dirty from all the wind, but I would think some one has had to do something.
Any info will be greatly appreciated.

Nothing much happening on a regular or consistent basis. I've been out under the Lessner Bridge a couple times a weeks on my lunch break, out on the hampton bar a few times in the last couple weeks and out on both sides of Ft. Monroe twice in the last week. Nothing on the keeper limit.
I think its the water temp and not the clarity but thats a guess on my part.
Hopefully it'll get better in the next week or two.

I'm going to give Saturday a shot also. A guy I work with caught 2 citations on Wednesday off the 4th Island.

I went last sunday and caught 12. 1 keeper (22 in.) The rest were just under the limit. Caught all of them around the third and fourth island. I went Saturday before last and we caught 31 between the three of us. Only 2 keepers on that trip. We caught those around the Hump Area. I am going out saturday and try the cape charles and plantation light area. Theres been plenty of action, but just a little too small! Lots of little blues to be taken around the hump area. We have caught allmost all of the flounder on cut bluefish strips. Good luck to evryone going out saturday! FISHTANK

Fished Hampton Bar & Ft. Monroe area. 11 throwbacks and 1 keeper.
Water clarity is fine. Water temp is still a little cool.
Things should improve.
Good luck

Fished Monday along the CBBT off of the first island ocean side. Caught 15 or so with my limit 19,19,21,23,24"'s. The rest were either keepers last year or smaller. I guess I should throw in a couple of skate as well.
Today I fished the same spot and had 3 keepers. 19,21,22
I have pics from Monday but can't seem to post. Monday the color of choice was green and today it was white...go figure. There were about 30 boats between out there today so there should be some chatter.
I will be out there tomorrow so hopefully I will post again tomorrow night.

Walter W reported,
"went wed got out around 1:00 from cobbs, fished north of the small boat channel for a couple of hours hookups on most all drifts, many small fish 3 keepers up to 22 " . another boat we were with stayed on the flounder and managed to keep 7. we moved on to togs "
