Ran into a big scool of small to medium size at the small boat channel last night about 6:00. Couldn't keep them off the hook.

My experience yesterday mirrors that of the previous two posters. Bay side of small boat channel probably your best bet. Doesn't seem to matter what bait you use. We used bloodworms, shrimp, squid, various FishBites. They all worked for 6 to 10 inch croakers. If that is what you're after, they are there. As you get towards the first island, I think they are a bit bigger. Between 7 pm and 8 pm, we must have caught 50...

We used 3 or 4 oz. pyramid and bank sinkers...

Good catches of flounder there too, but I think early morning is your best bet, not evening...
Here We Go
We caught a few horse croakers at the 4th last night on jigs with bass assains.

Well, we made it out today and have nothing to show for it but a mild sunburn. However, it was much better than work as always. We got few small croaker and flounder and a shark but nothing to write home about. mad.gif sad-smiley-047.gif smilie_flagge13.gif vbsf_th.jpg
