Ran into a big scool of small to medium size at the small boat channel last night about 6:00. Couldn't keep them off the hook.

My experience yesterday mirrors that of the previous two posters. Bay side of small boat channel probably your best bet. Doesn't seem to matter what bait you use. We used bloodworms, shrimp, squid, various FishBites. They all worked for 6 to 10 inch croakers. If that is what you're after, they are there. As you get towards the first island, I think they are a bit bigger. Between 7 pm and 8 pm, we must have caught 50...
We used 3 or 4 oz. pyramid and bank sinkers...
Good catches of flounder there too, but I think early morning is your best bet, not evening...
