My dad and I where talking earlier this year about taking a trip down to NC to catch some cobia either from the beach or sightcasting. Have there been any reports on how the cobia are doing? Oh and also one of my buddies went out to the 9ft shoals yesterday and got a hook up and had one behind his boat. Thanks for any help.

Check with Hatteras Harbor Marina and Teach's Lair...both have guides that run charters for cobia. They have landed several out of Hatteras in the past week.

been fishing out of OI the last couple of days and caught a ton of huge cobias. Around 11 in the morning they start rising to the surface . Most fish we caught were between 50 to 70 pounds.
