Boat in the water 4:10, Cleared the inlet 4:30. South?? to 450. Seen huge whale jumping. Trolled east & west. Mahi or two. North to close to 650, water temp dropped to about 67deg. couple more mahi, one 40lb. tuna. Stuck it out, fleet left, tuna started flying. 2 on, then 3, then 4 pulling hard. Now huge shark decides to hang around transom, tuna's get closer, pull harder. By now you can probably guess what's next. ALL 4 GONE. I'll try again next week. That's fishing and I'm not complaining. Beautiful Day on the water.

In Hawaii they call sharks the "tax man". Hate to see that happen, even more so when you've got 4 tuna on at once...sorry to hear it. You'll get them next time!!

That sucks, we were looking for you guys at the ramp since we left late due to the tourney. You guys were gone before we even got there. Gave you guys a call on the radio, but I think you were too far south, we were up on the 700 most of the day. Heard lots of big shark stories from the other guys in the tourney, might be a good time to get a Mako.

You maybe right about the mako. For a minute I thought that shark might have been what I was hooked into. That could have been interesting with the other tuna on. Wish I would have heard you guy's calling. Hopefully next time.
