Went out two weeks ago and it was like a crash up derby. Saw a couple of boats run in to one another. fiber glass clabbing together don't sound very good.
Fish Dad
There are plenty of spades over the tower reef, big ones too. And you can fish for tog at the same time.

where is nannybooboo? You can't hold all the good spots to your self. I don't like the crowd eigther. Wish I had a less crowded place to fish.

That's worse than cape henry during striper season. Not for me.

No need to sit in the "parking lot", spades are everywhere in the lower bay and inshore waters. Just find some structure and go to it. Check out the Santore and the other near shore wrecks. I'll bet the ODU reef off of Ocean View holds spades. Try anchoring upcurrent of the structure and chumming with clam pieces. If that doesn't work, put your clam chum in a wire mesh container and send it down to the bottom and change your floats for sinkers. The mesh tubes they sell in tackle stores for holding live crickets make great little chum pots for this type of fishing. Just add your chum and some sinkers and lower it to the bottom on an old piece of mono. Hope this helps. Tight lines and good luck!
