typically wahoos can be caught in blue water (ie norfolkcaynon, 000's, hot dog, cigar etc...) you want a spread of 5 + rods in the 40-60 pound range and out riggers are used on most boats for wahoo u want to use several feet of wire in front of a skirt and typically a ballyhoo ( alot of people like black and purple)

whatever you do, dont use unblackened swivels on your rigs. You dont want to lose a 20-30$ rig because a wahoo hit the snap swivel 4 feet from your bait. They like metallic objects, so skirts with reflective material are key. They are probably the fastest fish you will run into offshore so be ready. Really, I dont know of a lot of people who fish for wahoo specifically because they dont school like tuna or dolphin. If you catch one, be happy you did, you will enjoy the fight and the dinner.
