I am fishing the Big Rock out of Hatteras on the Tyler II. Monday we had a blue crash the express on the flat line and the fight was on. After I fought him tot he boat in about 50 min, we measure the fish hoping it was over 110". It was about 98", but the stockiest blue anyone on on the boat had seen. Since it was day one, it was too close to call. He would have riden with us to moorehead if it was the last day. Yesterday at noon another blue comes up ont he flat line. He peels back to the shotgun with mouth wide open, saying feed me. Dropped the express down the hatch and blue # 2 on. After about 20 minutes he was at the boat for a nice release and some great pics. That fish went about 350#. We are laying today and tomorrow, at the in of the day yesterday we were 5th do to time of fish caught. We are in a good position going into our last two days. Will report back!

Getting ready for the last day. We caught another blue today. It was really rough today. I took some big waves will i was in the chair. She measured 104". We are getting close. Right now we are tied for third in the release division. Tomorrow is a big day for us. We have to really produce. But who knows it may only take one fish. Wish us luck

Its official...Bak Bar wins 49th Annual Big Rock with 613 Blue Malrin. Congrats!!!
Seems to me that there was a 613 pound blue marlin that won the Hatteras Village Offshore Open...we seem to be developing a pattern here.

Yeah, no sense fishing that one until the purse gets bigger.
The Blues were coving them up when they fished.
