Floated the bar around 11:00 AM. Things seemed to be going well except for all the small flatties. Seams like for the past two weeks the flat one have slowed way down. I've never seen the tide soooo slack! No drift at all. At tide change the drift picked up to a blinding speed. Thaught I was going to have to throw out the anchor just to slow the boat down! Fished all day with no keepers. The few blues we caught were fun though. Around 5:00 the waves and current were getting a little out of hand ,so I put the "Mako Mandi" back on the trailer and headed back West to Emporia. Glad I did'nt listen to the weather man...at least the weather was great.
