Tried the Back river/York Spit area for Cobia today. Stopped in Back Creek for croaker bait and everything almost went great, a dozen croakers in about 15 minutes and low and behold the boat won't turn over. Pulled motor cover and the solenoid on the 1 month old starter is hanging off by the wires. Closer inspection and both bolts are snapped off... Time to break out the twine I had stashed in the glove box and tie the solenoid on (yes it worked). Off to York spit area(with a buddy following). Got a nice chum line going and only hit 3 Needlefish, Rays and Blues sat from 11:00 to 4:00. Had one good run on a cut croaker but after it made two trips around the boat off it went? Instead of cleaning fish it's time to call the place I got the starter from.
