Thanks. Did it matter or was it on an incoming tide?

I was out there twice in the past couple of days and nailed the spade. Oceanside at the 4th. 50 ft from the rocks, 8-12 feet down with clams. Buy some chopped clam with clam juice and use it for chum. You can gat a big can of it at farm fresh for 10 bucks.

Thanks. I usually just buy a chum bag. Never thought of the juice as well. Will give her a try on the 4th.
Gonna head out to the Tower on Thurs (5th).

Wilcox Bait and Tackle up on the Pennisula and Oceans East 2 when I go out of Little Creek.
They don't seem to care if it is incoming or outgoing as long as it is moving. Ground clam chum is the ticket. There are plenty of triggers out there to keep it interesting too. Let the wind decide which side to fish....smoother the better. Try to find fresh clams...they do work better than the frozen salted ones.
Keep an eye open for the big black drum too. Hooking an angry Volkswagon is always a fun diversion.
