What are the lures to use in VA beach in the surf and inlet areas?

Hey striperknight, I figured someone else would jump on this one and fill you in. The hot ticket seems to be Berekley Gulp swimming minnow baits in chartruse and root beer on a red jig head. The thing about these baits are everything eats them, from trout, redfish and flounder to big croaker. Fish the shallows by casting up near the grassline, or off the beach by casting into deeper water and bouncing it up the slope. The areas around Rudee and Lynnhaven inlets are pretty good, so are the jettys in Ocean View and Willoughby. Tight lines and good luck.

Lots of people throw those gulp swimming minnows. If spot is your thing, take some gulp or fish bites blood worms and run a double dropper rig.
