Happy Independence Day all!

We fished the bayside of the 12-mile post this morning looking for a cobia and managed to stay busy the whole morning. Too bad it was with rays and skates. The water surface was almost brown with them. We were hoping that a big cobia was hiding under them and had one run-off that sounded promising but at the end of the day, we made the bumpy ride home without mr. brown suit.

Grilled shrimp and an ice cold beer back at the homefront took the sting off. It is still much better than sitting in the office !
