Hunting season in Va Beach is approaching and I am trying to butter up a local land owner with his favortie fish....... the spot. My ability to produce them for him may gain me access to prime hunting real estate. Can anyone put me on the fish?

The spot are only just starting to show up in the shallows. Should pick up as this month progresses.

I caught two small ones at the bend just before the third. Hopefully, the biggun's will start coming in. But it makes me wonder, where are the big croaker this time of year. Last year, I was hooking monster croaker. This year, I'm catching small flounder bait. What's up with that?

Tghis biggest croaker I've seen are coming from the Rappahannock. My 8yr old nehew was catching them in the 18" range Monday and Tuesday of this week.
