Fished the HRBTon Thursday caught 4 short fish (all 17 to 18) in 3 hours. !st time using "GULP", I'll try that stuff again.
Can anybody tell me where to put in on the South Branch of the Elizabeth River? I drove all over the place and could not find a landing. I had a Delorme map and nothing seemed to match up.

If you take the poindexter exit off of 464, towards the Jordan Bridge, (like you're headin to Portsmouth), there is a City ramp just before the bridge approach. Nice facility, free, and open 24 hours. If you turn right out of the harbor and go under the Jordan, you're headin towards Waterside, and if you turn left you'll be headin for the Hot Ditch, and North Carolina. Good luck. As far as the gulps go, You'd be well served to tie on a piece of 15-20# flourocarbon. A couple of feet is plenty. The stuff holds up great to the sharp teeth of flounder, and the fact that it is near invisible can't hurt either.
