What is the planned use?
Bent-butts suck as stand-up rods, but if you are going to use it as a planer-rod, they work great in that application.
We run 2 80's on 5 1/2 ft straight stand-up rods and they handle perfectly.

Are you sure you can't do both?

My stand-up rods are made so you can take the butt out. The you have a straight butt or a bent but - you just plug in the one you want. They are easy to change. Check out AFTCO butts.

Concur with GradyMan. For Stand-up if that will be your method, Straight Butt.
