There are good numbers of flounder at the cape henry wreck, fished friday 3/4 of the day, first half of it spent around the CBBT with some action, but yielded only one shortie around 17.5" and lots of molested baitfish, moved out to the Cape Henry Wreck and once we shifted from fishing the edges of the wreck to straight up fishing on it, the dogfish and rays gave way to the flatties, we caught 4 in probably about an hour or so, 3 keepers to 21". We also had our fair share of hangs up and lost tackle I think that comes with the territory when fishing good structure. We quit while the fish were still bitting it had been a long day and there was still the ride home.
All the flounder were caught on live bait, the bigger ones coming on small spot(3-4") and peanut bunker, wish we'd had some bigger spot 6"+, I think the big boys are out there, I'm still looking for that first 7lb+ plus fish.
I'll get'em next time . . .
