Fished the 3rd island Satuday for flounder on slack tide up through incoming high tide. Didn't have any live spot so went with squid/minnow along with strip baits. Managed to catch 13 fish with two meeting the 18.5" minimum (19.5" & 20.5").
No citations but a ton of fun and a very nice dinner to boot!

I hear flounder are on at the "cell area" , can you tell me where that is and where to lauch a boat (closest place" to get to it. I'm new to this board and would appreciate any suggestions for flounder fishing in the Cape Charles area.

Fished the Cell and north of there Sat. Caught 4 fish..all keepers smallest 22in and biggest was 26in but just short of paper. Caught them on all big strip baits. Most of the fish were on the deep side of the drop. All of them were caught early in the day. The fish are there.. it's just tough to get the numbers..
