Sorry if this is slightly off topic. I am considering leaving my boat on the trailer at Long Bay Point Bait and Tackle's boat lot. They are fenced and have a locked gate with 24 hour access. I would take all the electronics out and fishing gear, but do any of you locals have any opinions on the safety of my boat? Is there a history of vandelism or break-ins? Thanks very much!

I frequent Shore Drive several times a day. The area itself is relatively safe. If you take some preventative measures (i.e. remove electronics, batteries, fishing gear, pull a spark plug, take pictures of your boat & gear, and install a hitch lock), you should be okay. I don't see too many hoodlums running around the area, except the occasional hobbo @ the 7-11 nearby.

Thank you very much for the local input!
