I got some new reels when a sporting store was changing over for 50% off!!!!!!!
so I bought a couple of each.
Okuma cn 55W
Okuma cn 45L
Okuma 425L
Okuma 325L
Shimano TLD 20/40S

I usualy use Andes line for everything but I won some Fireline at the SWS and was wondering if anyone uses braided line offshore.
I have another set-up with power pro but the line gets stuck in the roller tip which is really frustrating.
What do you all use????? and what recomondation do you have.
thanks in advance!!!!!!1

I use all mono offshore and all super-braid inshore. I have some Penn 12LT's with 40lb. mono and Titus gold 50-class with 50lb. mono for offshore. Lighter equip. for inshore with 20 & 30 lb. superbraid..... works good for me smile.gif Good luck!
Tickled Pink
If you use braid for trolling be sure to use high quality swivels. Also if you get two lines crossed with braided the tangle is three time worse then anything you have ever seen with mono.
Mega Bite
A loop around the wrist with a large fish would probably deglove your hand with power pro. That stuff is hard on the hands. You would have to use a mono leader.

We spooled two of our 50lb. class outfits with 80lb. braided line in 97 to see how the stuff would hold up. I turned the auto pilot on and was helping my mate Tony Fox put the baits out. With the outriggers set up, I was feeding out a skirted ballyho on the starboard flat line and a wahoo hit. Before I had time to think about it, the braided line burned a hole almost to the bone in my index finger. The point is: You can't treat braided line as though it was mono. mad.gif

IT SOUNDS LIKE THE BRAIDED LINES CAN HURT YOU IF TANGLED-UP!!!!
I HERE THE BRAIED LINES ARE MORE SENSITIVE AND YOU CAN FEEL THE BITE BETTER BUT IF YOUR TROLLING THE FISH WILL SET THE HOOK IT SELF.
THE TANGLES I GOT IN BRAIDED LINE WERE HARDER TO UN DO, I THINK I MIGHT HAVE 1-2SET-UP WITH BRAIDED LINE BUT THE REST WITH MONO!!!
THANKS FOR THE ADVICE GUYS!!!!!!!
