Hey guys and galls,
I was wondering where is a good place for som nice size croaker and spot ? I just realized I havent had a fish fry all summer..

Is a carolina rig with squid/bloodworm fish bites the best way ? That is the only way I know how to fish for them. But I dont know the best place for the big horse croakers..
Thank you,
cibnhoj

Try around the 1st or 2nd island.

cibnhoj,
For big croakers......hard to beat peeler crab on a standard bottom rig. Structure is good for all fish, croakers included.. As with a lot of other fish, a good sized peice of bait will normally yeild you a better size fish....

Took the family to Oyster this past weekend and caught alot of big croakers using fresh shrimp on bottom rigs. Had friends catch some decent ones around the Monitor-Merimac. Has anyone heard of any spot being caught?

Taking my dad and two 6 yr olds tomorrow... Can we get more specific about the big croaker in oyster ? They only get to go once or twice a year and would really like to see them happy on the fish. Thanks a bunch.

My friend, I'm not trying to be mean, but that post didn't make any sense.
For the part I could make out, Oyster is a town. There are many fishing spots that can be reached from Oyster.
The numbers for the town are:
37.286N.
-75.922W.

My buddy caught one 4 pounds off of york river state park last week. I got one just shy of a citation at the fourth two weeks back on a piece of clam

Going up to oyster probably ain't worth it for time, fuel, and they got some ferocious black flys and squeeters up there. Fish for bigger fish use bigger bait and bigger hooks to keep the little ones off.
