There are taylor blues all over the bay right now. Bluefish rock is appropriately named. If you anchor up in that area and put out a chum bag, they'll be schooling in no time. You can put on a chunk of menhaden, or cast anything shiny and hard and they should devour it. They are all over the lightline at the HRBT as well if you are fishing after dark. I'm not familiar with York spit, but I don't think you'll have trouble if you're after bluefish.
Personally, I would put her on some spades, if the blues show up, double pullage.
