FullThrottle
We dropped lines at 7am on the north canyon wall. Trolled around some slicks, lobster pots, south wall and tried everything we could think of until about 9. Heard someone on the radio say they got a wahoo near the fingers, so we decided to take a south west tack. About 10 minutes later we hear a line pop and looked back to see a WM dancing around the bait. Picked up the rod and a few seconds into the fight, it was over. Started reeling in the empty line, and another pop. On the far line another WM, and once again it was over in seconds. Picked up a medium dolphin, so not a total loss.

Nothing for hours so we started toward home. Found some grass pads and dropped lines again. Immediate hits on two lines and we pulled in another dolphin and a false albacore. We ran around the grass pads (no grass line, just grass all over with a couple of formed pads) until we got tired of cleaning the rigs with no more fish.

As we approached Cape Henry we got to watch the rain and lightning. Closed everything up, brought down the lightning attractors (figured the outriggers would be better off down) and ran for home. Made it in with no rain, or lightning and considered it a good day.

Thanks for the report Full Throttle! Glad you got into some fish and had some action behind the boat. It's always good to get the boat and crew safely back when the weather is potentially as bad as it was.
Tight lines. cool_smiley.gif
