  1. We got a family trip in this afternoon for these guys and it was a beautiful day. The Flounder bight is still a bit slow, caught 7 and managed to get 2 nice keepers up to 22 inches. We caught a Cobia today but it was under the 40 min size limit and released. Hooked up several Sharks today and we also caught a variety of the other stuff as well like Grey Triggerfish, Skates, Oyster Toads, Seabass, Trout, Roundhead and lots of Croaker. It was a fun day. Another beautiful day on the Chesapeake Bay.
  2. We had our Hard Core Fishing Couple on board again today for her Birthday Fishing trip. They have been married for 49 soon to be 50 years and love to fish together. This young lady of 86 years and her husband love to go fishing every year with us. A beautiful morning with calm seas was perfect for this couple. They caught 7 nice Flounder today up to 22 inches. We also caught lot of Skates and Oyster Toads, little Black Seabass and Croaker. It was another fun day with these guys as usual, and a beautiful day on the Chesapeake Bay.

  6. The Flounder bight is still a bit slow catching only one keeper Flounder, but we caught a variety of the other stuff like Shark, Bluefish, Skates, Oyster Toads, Seabass and Croaker. It was a fun day. Another beautiful day on the Chesapeake Bay.
  7. When the wind blew it blew hard in all directions with short interludes of calm seas. Near the end of May the weather started to get more stable like it’s trying to get into a summer pattern, then Tropical Strom Alberto hits Florida and gives us tons of rain for the tail end of May. The Tog season was extended to May 15th giving us two more weeks to catch them up. The Croaker started bighting good around the middle of May. Flounder bight was tough but a few nice fish were caught, our largest for May was 18 inches. The Flounder bite picked up real good June 1st last year and got better as the water warmed up. Red Drum have been cruising into the Bay coming up the coast real good the last couple of weeks along with the Cobia. Cobia season opens June 1st this year. Here is a picture of a Citation Red Drum we caught. Overall we had Lots of fun with Great People.

  9. We were blessed with the wind laying down giving us some fishable weather. We took advantage of this and did some Striper fishing. It was a finicky bite, but there was plenty of nibblers to steel our baits. We kept our limit of really nice sized Stripers.
  10. We had friends and family get out fishing with us this weekend. The forecast was sketchy at best but managed to take advantage of the Red Drum. Lots of fun.
  11. We had a Father with his sons on vacation get together with us this morning to go on the hunt for some Flounder and Big Red Drum. We had some tough weather with high seas up to 5 foot lately so we had canceled our trips since the last report, finally we had a beautiful morning with south winds and the seas laid down. The water was still sandy and the Flounder bite was really tough today, we didn’t catch any keepers, but the Big Red Drum, Ray, Shark and Sea bass gave us the most action today. We ended up catching some Big Bull Red Drum today measuring 33 and 41 inches that weren’t big enough for the Big Fish Virginia Citation Award ( 46 inches for Red Drum ). The 41 incher is bigger than it looks because the big guy holding it is 6’5”. The Big Reds were released and swam off strong to fight another day. We were back to the dock around noon and beat the Afternoon Storm. Lots of fun.
