Andrew K posted a topic in Surf and Pier Fishing (Ocean City MD to Hatteras NC)So i had my annual week in ocean city last week with the family. make a long story short. i hate west winds, i love east winds. first couple of days the wind sucked so the water was cold, plenty of spot and round head for everyone, tons of them. i got one butterfly ray early on. the one day/night we had east winds the fishing was on. my buddy Dave got two 4ft Sand Bars, and an 81" Sand Tiger, which i got to land, which was fun, since its been a while since ive put my hands on a shark. later that same evening Sam's rod goes off and he passes it off to my brother who reeled in an 80" Sand Tiger. This brought me great joy because i wanted to get him a shark that week and its bigger then the ones ive caught. later that night my heaver goes off and its a screaming run, i get good pulls and head shakes, pretty sure its a big sand bar and ends up being a 5 ft cow nose ray. LOL not what i wanted but got some pullage. go figure the night i leave Dave catches an 84" and a 121" Sand Tiger, finally breaking the 10' mark, and on a rod i just sold him. oh yeah, these are all casted baits, not one of these was yakked. Lots of pics: Dave and one of his sand bars My brother Matt fighting the shark Matthew and his 80" sand tiger me landing the shark the butterfly ray was no match for the Cast Pro 13' 8-12oz Daves 81" sand tiger hooked up on the big cow nose ray on the Cast Pro 13 footer My brother and his pet Daves 10' sand tiger
