Yeah…catching the sharks has been the easy part.   Catching the bait for them has been the hard part.

My grandsons and I were almost EATEN last night at Sandbridge Beach! :yikes:

The sandflies and mosquitos were VORACIOUS!!!! Cutter,DEET, and Skin So Soft just seemed to ring the dinner bell!

(But we stayed until dark) One small roundhead and one 14.5" pompano release....couple good runs on heavers, but grandsons couldn't hook up....

That is a good size Pompano, will have to get out there and get me some for dinner. Happy 4th. Tight lines.

Two sharks midday Saturday. Sharpnose of 3 feet and sandtiger 7.5 or 8 footer (didn't have anything to measure with but my size 13 foot) both released alive. Place insane with menhaden, right up to the beach. Also saw what was likely a thresher scooting around in the menhaden and slamming them with his big tail.

PS And I made a great discovery...eight year olds LOVE to "catch" menhaden, when they are close enough to cast to! My grandson kept me more than up on supplies all day. I guess I had rigged a good bait, hmmm?
