Any Recipes for Tunny (False Albacore)?

Recommended Posts

Brought a couple of Tunny back to try as we heard they are good for tuna salad. Any tips and recipes? Thanks.

Tight lines.

Cut them up in chunks and bail dolphin with them.

Have no idea about eating them. It comes in the can and I eat that a lot, but never cooked them myself.

No seriously I have heard of people that cooked them and mixed them in with yellowfin, then gave it to other people that didn't know and they said they couldn't tell the difference.

Thanks! I think the next ones we catch get a bridle and a Marlin ride!

coat fillets with old bay and sear on grill, cook through, but a little rare on the inside, set aside so while it cools the rare inside becomes cooked. make a tuna salad with it after cooled (mayo/ onion/ celery/ a little green pepper and carrot). i tried this out and it was darned good. ive done the same with frozen tuna too.
